Harvey Mudd Ranks High for Career Placement and ROI in Princeton Review
January 31, 2017Harvey Mudd College ranked No. 2 for “Best Career Placement” and No. 4 for “Top 50 Colleges That Pay You Back” in The Princeton Review’s 2017 edition of Colleges That Pay You Back: The 200 Schools That Give You the Best Bang for Your Tuition Buck.
The Princeton Review made its selections based on return on investment ratings it tallied for 650 schools last year. The ratings weighted 40 data points that covered everything from academics, cost and financial aid to graduation rates, student debt and alumni salaries and job satisfaction. The Princeton Review editors culled data from the company’s surveys of administrators and students in 2015–2016 and from PayScale’s surveys of school alumni conducted through April 2016.
Robert Franek, The Princeton Review’s senior vice president/publisher and lead author of the book, told NBC’s The Today Show about the five top colleges for ROI, including Harvey Mudd.
“These are all exceptional schools,” Franek said. “They are all exceptionally hard to get into, but once you are in return on these investments are going to be exceptional by way of discounted tuition and great jobs after you graduate.”
In the previous year’s edition (2016), Harvey Mudd also ranked No. 4 for “Top 50 Colleges That Pay You Back” and No. 1 for “Best Career Placement”.
