2024 – 2025 WISTEM Schedule
WISTEM is a 5-month long program designed to strengthen students’ STEM understanding, prepare students for the college process, and help students learn about the experience of women in STEM fields. Keeping this in mind, WISTEM is a two-part program that includes an all-expenses paid fly-in program to visit Harvey Mudd College and an interactive online component.
WISTEM Residential Component – February 16 to February 18, 2025
WISTEM participants will be brought to Harvey Mudd College’s campus February 16–18, 2025 in an all expenses covered trip. Students are expected to arrive to campus no later than 1 p.m. PST on February 16, so students flying from out-of-state should expect an early departure. The in-person portion of the WISTEM program ends at noon PST on Tuesday, February 18 so students must depart campus at this time.
WISTEM Online Component – December 2024 to April 2025
The online component of WISTEM will include all of the following:
- Women in STEM webinar series
- College process webinar series
- Engagement with the rest of your WISTEM cohort via Zoom, email, and Discord.
Throughout the five-month program, you will be asked to participate on Discord, schedule a one-on-one meeting to take place over the summer, required to engage with an HMC Admission interview, and other opportunities to connect directly with the Office of Admission.
The full program schedule can be found below. In order to successfully complete the program, participants are required to attend all sessions.
