Alumni Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is a fun, rewarding way to stay connected with fellow Harvey Mudd alumni and the campus community. There are many opportunities to get involved, and we can find one for you no matter your availability, interests or location.

To express your interest in any of the opportunities listed below or to offer additional suggestions, please submit our Volunteer Interest Form. If you are not sure which roles best suit your individual needs, please contact the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations at alumni@hmc.edu.

  • share your expertise as a speaker for Mudd Talks, our virtual lecture series for the HMC community
  • share your experiences as a speaker for the Alumni Identity Intersection Series, our virtual webinar series exploring the diverse life paths of our alumni
  • become of member of your Class Reunion Planning Committee
  • host an Alumni Virtual Hangout (AVH), casual events for alumni to connect over Zoom
  • host an in-person event in your regional area
  • host a Mudd Chats discussion for current students

Office of Career Services (OCS)

  • speak on a panel about your career path/field/workplace experiences
  • participate in resume reviews, mock interviews, and informational interviews with current students
  • facilitate workshops covering career topics such as salary negotiation, working remotely, etc.
  • help OCS expand their employer network by connecting them with your company

Office of Institutional Diversity (OID)

  • serving in the HMC Mentoring Program (local only)
  • engage with students in the Chat and Chew lunch series, I’m a First series, Anti-Racists Program series and The Power of Using Your Voice program
