Spotlight Recognition Award

The Alumni Association recognizes important contributions of members of the Harvey Mudd College community through its awards programs. The newest addition to this program are the Spotlight Recognition Awards. These awards are presented on a rolling basis to selected alumni of any age who, typically within the last several years, have had a tangible effect of noted magnitude that embodies the HMC visionary themes of innovation, leadership and impact through global influence, contributions to society, or inspiration to other alumni. While not required, it is expected several of these awards will be given out each year, with recipients to be featured in Mudd Magazine. Nominations are open to the entire HMC community, and are reviewed by the Selections Committee of the Alumni Association Board of Governors (AABOG) prior to being approved by a vote of the full Board of Governors.

Why is this award featured on the GOLD Society Website? Because this is the first offering in the Alumni Association Awards Program that is equally achievable by alumni of all ages. GOLD alumni are already well represented as past recipients, so please don’t be shy! Nominate yourself and/or one (or more) of your peers. There’s no limit to the number of nominees submitted by an individual.
