Cybersecurity Resources

We would like to share information about security resources that CIS is preparing this month and for October, National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, which is now in its 17th year.

• We have new web pages with Information Security resources on the HMC CIS web page.  Please check them out and send us feedback.
• We will send a reminder soon about our campus subscription for Trend Micro Smart Protection for Endpoints, and ask folks about other types of antivirus software they are using.  We have install links and information for Trend Micro software in our Service Catalog.
• We are working with LastPass to implement their password management tool and we’d like to offer to faculty, staff, and students.  Please expect more information in the upcoming weeks about this software and how we can help folks begin using it.
• We have a subscription for security awareness materials from Ninjio.  We are working to implement this program for October.  The Ninjio programs sends everyone an email once per month with a short 2-3 minute info video that highlights current cyber threats.  Please expect an introduction for Ninjio with more information near the start of October.
