The widespread use of relational databases to retrieve information means that queries need to be efficient and comprehensive. Sometimes, users want information that cannot be retrieved with traditional queries, such as which items in a database of foods and ingredients are most similar to pizza. A cognitive query integrates machine learning with SQL to achieve more insightful queries. We aim to create a full-stack query processing system that allows users to execute cognitive queries on databases and extract useful information.
