The Puzzle Master 9000: The Jigsaw Puzzle-Helping App takes as input a bird’s eye image of individual puzzle pieces—or partially-assembled combinations of pieces. From that image, the application extracts each contour and runs a variety of vision-based comparisons in order to find pairs of pieces with the highest probable fit. The most likely edge-to-edge fittings are then highlighted as output and as guidance for the user.
