Cloud Block Store (CBS) is Pure Storage’s virtual volume provisioning service in Amazon’s cloud computing platform, Amazon Web Services (AWS). CBS provides high durability and availability beyond the standard cloud services that AWS provides. However, many elements of CBS require manual control. Our goal is to create the tools necessary to automate many of these manual tasks, thus increasing the efficiency and usability of CBS. This gives CBS greater flexibility and scalability which will directly impact CBS’s performance and adoption.
