The Hawaii Keiki Museum strives to provide children with a hands-on exploration of STEAM concepts and relate these concepts to Hawai’i. This year, our clinic team designed a new exhibit for the museum that combines introductory logic gates with volcanos. We then worked with high schoolers on the island to construct the exhibit at the museum and present it to the public. After completion, the high schoolers will have learned technical skills (from soldering to woodworking) and children will gain basic circuitry knowledge with logic and binary.
