Shopify is a commerce platform that provides businesses with the tools and services needed to sell wherever customers are—online, in-person and everywhere in between. With a mission to “make commerce better for everyone,” Shopify strives to empower buyers in their quest for product discovery. Leveraging large language models (LLMs) and generative AI, the Shopify Clinic team has created “Autoplay for Product Discovery,” a gift-recommending app that diverges from conventional personalization algorithms and allows users to discover the products that they didn’t even know they wanted.
