As an editor, you may wish to make to the home page of your section of the site. Please note the following:

What is a “Home Page?”

The entire website is comprised of multiple sections arranged together as a unified whole. Sections are normally obviously defined. e.g. each department has its own section of the website. Similarly, offices will also often have their own section of the website.

Editors have access to one or more of these sections, depending on their area(s) of responsibility. Most sections will have a main (or home) page that is arranged differently from every other page in that part of the site.

Note that most sections of the site will only have one page that uses the home page layout.

Purpose of Home Pages

Home pages are a jumping-off point for users who visit a section of the site. Home pages therefore do not accept regular content (such as the content on this page). All the content is inside specially designed blocks that focuses the users’ attention on important or common resources, or promotes a specific call to action.

Editing Home Pages

When they were originally setup, we chose blocks and content based on each section’s needs. Feel free to edit the content within the blocks. However, please refrain from adding or removing blocks. Please submit a website help request so that we can discuss your needs and advise on the best approach.
