Here is an overview of this year's Pi Day of Giving — March 2025 marks Harvey Mudd College’s fourth annual Pi Day of Giving, centered around the theme of Growth as we work towards realizing the goals of our Strategic Vision. This year, we highlight the growth of academic innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and community support across departments. Together, we are planting the seeds for a future defined by diversity, inclusion, and cutting-edge advancements, supporting Harvey Mudd’s mission to educate the next generation of leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Community Connections events provide opportunities for HMC faculty, students and staff to cultivate community, foster open conversations and share important information as together we live out our mission and shape the future of the College.
Calendars
A chance for the Dean to chat informally with faculty. This event is for faculty.
A series of lunch and learn activities with OCS staff and offered to all students.
An opportunity to chat and have coffee with the dean of students.
A collaborative panel discussion of social justice issues, presented with HMC alumni.
A discussion of career opportunities with ATA engineering in the SkyCube. This event is for students.
An opportunity to share insights, broaden perspectives, and enjoy camaraderie with fellow book lovers. Book club will meet every other week until Dec. 2.

We will be hosting our first Community Conversation to listen attentively to each other on our personal experiences with polarization, and it would be so valuable to have you there!

The focus of this learning community is to learn from each other. The goal is to embed values such as intellectual curiosity, empathy, active listening, and critical thinking into our educational practices and learning environments that will help us navigate complex conversations.
