COVID-19 Information

With the end of federal and state public health emergency declarations, Harvey Mudd College will retire its current COVID-19 vaccination requirement for members of the HMC community. HMC will no longer require vaccinations for students, but will defer to the CDC guidance, which currently strongly recommends. We will continue to monitor the situation and pivot, if necessary.

Vaccinations

Effective immediately, the College no longer requires employees or students to provide proof of vaccination/booster for COVID-19. A limited supply of antigen tests are available to employees by contacting the Office of Human Resources. Students can contact Student Health Services.

Mask-Friendly Campus

While masking is no longer required on campus, we remain a “mask-friendly” campus. Faculty may require students to wear masks in their classes, labs and offices. Faculty are encouraged to clearly state their masking policy in course syllabi, and students are encouraged to bring masks with them to campus. A small quantity of masks is available to members of the campus community. If you need a mask, please contact the Office of Facilities and Maintenance (F&M) (faculty and staff) or the Division of Student Affairs (students).

CARES Act Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund

In support during the Coronavirus pandemic, the federal government has passed the following sources of emergency aid to institutions of higher education.

Additional Information

If additional updates are warranted, or if we begin to experience another COVID-19 outbreak, the emergency website will be reactivated. Updates on testing requirements and other COVID-19 information will be communicated to students, faculty and staff directly via email.
