Ettinger Fund: Small Grants
Thanks to a generous gift from the Ettinger family, the HMC IDEA (IDEA: Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, & Access) Committee is pleased to offer small grants to support activities and projects that promote community belonging and connection among students, staff and faculty. Small grants can be awarded to HMC community members that are working towards inclusive programming and events that that are centered around personal growth in the areas of social justice and understanding the impact we can have on society. Grants are designed to provide flexible funding that can be used for new ideas or to support established projects looking to expand their impact.
Eligible Activities
- Reimbursement for meals or gatherings that foster cross-cultural connections
- Support for activities that build community and educate students; ex: on-campus activities or trips to local, cultural landmarks
- Books, films, or other activities related to building skills or knowledge around social justice
- Conferences or trainings
- Assistance with access to professional development opportunities
- Honorarium for a visiting speaker
We actively seek projects that support all students, embrace their various interests and amplify the voices of the Mudd community. If you have a new idea and would like some guidance on how to bring it to life, please contact OID@hmc.edu.
Grants will be awarded on a rolling basis and funds must be spent by June 30, 2025.
