What is the Honor Your Senior Giving Campaign?

The Honor Your Senior Campaign provides an opportunity to honor your student’s journey and celebrate their milestone by making a gift that supports future generations of Mudders. Your contribution strengthens Harvey Mudd’s commitment to excellence, ensuring future students experience the same transformative education.

Your Gift Can Make an Impact

Your gift impacts the following areas:

  • Financial aid. Help ensure that cost is never a barrier for exceptional students.
  • Scholarships. Provide talented students access to a life-changing Mudd experience.
  • Student-faculty research. Fund groundbreaking projects that inspire innovation and collaboration.
  • Student life programs. Strengthen the vibrant, inclusive community that has been so integral to your senior’s success.

Special Giving Incentives

With a gift of any amount, families can send a digital Grad Gram, a custom message from you, to your senior during Commencement week.

Students of the first 50 families to give $100 or more will receive an HMC alumni pennant.

All gifts made between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025 count toward participation in the campaign.

Ways to Make a Gift

Donor Advised Fund (DAF) – A type of charitable savings account that gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to Harvey Mudd College and other qualified charities.

Qualified Charitable Distribution (IRA Charitable Rollover)
If you are 70½ or older, you may donate directly from your IRA for tax benefits and higher charitable impact.

Stocks and Mutual Funds – Give stock that has appreciated and that you have held for at least one year to obtain a dedication for the full fair market value of the stock and avoid paying tax on capital gain. Contact advancement_services@hmc.edu to initiate a transfer of stock and/or mutual funds.
