Möbius Society

Pioneering Progress, Empowering Change

Harvey Mudd College was founded in 1955 by a group of committed visionaries who believed in the transformative power of an institution that combines scientific and technical excellence with a deep understanding of the humanities and social sciences. Since then, the College’s community of supporters has expanded into a vibrant network of alumni, parents, students, trustees, faculty, staff and friends.

Harvey Mudd is profoundly grateful to the many donors who have prioritized the College and its students over the years. Their loyalty has fueled the growth of this exceptional institution and sustained its mission. To honor this remarkable loyalty, the Möbius Society was established in and is represented by the timeless symbol of the Möbius strip. (The symbol also appears on the Alumni Association Board of Governors’ Lifetime Recognition Award, which celebrates long-term commitment to the College.)

Möbius Society members become part of an endless commitment to educating thoughtful and impactful future STEM leaders. Just as the Möbius strip symbolizes continuity, their dedication to the College, its students, and community is perpetual. Möbius Society members drive the College’s leadership in STEM education and its positive societal impact through philanthropy.
