Bill Daub
Colleague and friend
Hank was always a kind and patient colleague, who had a wonderful sense of humor. He and I shared an interest in athletics and we would always chat about CMS sports and have a chuckle together no matter what. He will be missed.

Student
Professor Krieger was my second Mudd math professor, and had the experience of receiving a student whose confidence in his own skill in mathematics had just been shattered. Over the course of the semester, I’d get my first low grade notice from Prof. Krieger after a disastrous mid term, and then an understated but inspiring appreciative callout after scoring my first (and probably only) 100% on a math midterm while at Mudd.
I credit Prof. Krieger with being one of the first professors at Mudd to show me that he really did want to help me be successful, and I’m enormously grateful for the role he played in coaching me to be a better student – and more resilient person. I didn’t know him well, or interact with him beyond that class, but his steadiness and support remain vivid in my memories to this day, and I tell the story of that class whenever I share my Mudd experience with my children or prospective students.
Prof. Krieger, thank you so much.
