She knew that this was her dream school, and I’m beyond grateful that the faculty and her peers were able to recognize and experience her brilliance too.

Olivia was a bright and kind soul, and it was a privilege to have her in my Intermediate Chinese class during Fall 2023. I will never forget the time she came to my office to discuss her final exam presentation, in which she explored the question: Does the internet bring us closer to our friends, or does it drive us further apart? Olivia always responded to my questions with kindness and respect, and her warmth was felt by everyone around her. Words cannot express my sadness for you during this incredibly difficult time. I will forever be grateful to have had Olivia in my class.
