On behalf of the faculty, staff, and student body of Stony Brook University, I extend my warmest congratulations on your inauguration as the sixth president of Harvey Mudd College. I regret that I will be unable to attend your installation, but please accept my personal best wishes as you assume your new mantle of leadership.
The education of young people who will be the leaders of tomorrow is an awesome responsibility, and the students of Harvey Mudd College are fortunate to have your governance. May you have all the enthusiasm and energy necessary to move the University forward.
