Donnelly-Group Paper Highlighted

The American Institute of Physics featured a paper published by Prof. Tom Donnelly, his students, and his coworkers in Prof. Todd Ditmire’s group at the University of Texas at Austin as the research highlight of the month. HMC students Andrew P. Higginbotham, Octavi Semonin, Sandi Bruce, Clarence Chan, and Michael Maindi contributed to the work, which involves focusing a laser pulse to ( 2 times 10^{19}~mathrm{W/cm^2} ) on an aerosol of micron-scale droplets of heavy water.
