• Astro 62 will run at 10 o’clock, not 9 o’clock. Wrong! By popular demand, Astro 62 will be at 9 o’clock, after all.

Long version:

There was an unfortunate scheduling conflict between Physics 116 (Quantum Mechanics) and Physics 84 (Quantum Information) as originally scheduled. Both occupied the TR 9:35-10:50 time slot. I proposed to move Physics 116 to the MW 11:00–12:15 slot, which had the added benefit of inserting a day between the second class section of the week in 116 and the Friday recitations when homework is due.

However, Physics 154 (Fields and Waves) was scheduled MW 11:00–12:15. It would have to move to MW 1:15–2:30. Unfortunately, this generates a conflict for those wishing also to take Physics 174 (Biolocomotion). However, since Physics 154 will be offered again next year, juniors who have the conflict can end up taking both courses by registering for Physics 174 this year, and Physics 154 next year.

In future, we aim to offer Physics 84 in alternate years. The same for Physics 174. In normal circumstances, we plan to alternate Physics 154 and Physics 156. However, Prof. Sahakian will be on sabbatical next year and so will be unavailable to teach Physics 156 next year.
