Class of 2020 Zooms through celebration

Covid-19 forced us to cancel our traditional celebratory luncheon for the graduating senior physicists, but we were not going to let a little pandemic get in the way of a proper send-off. In a Zoom meeting (what else?) attended by the graduates, their families, faculty, and staff, Prof. Theresa Lynn announced awards and offered her inimitable limericks, interspersed with poignant video tributes skillfully assembled by Prof. Mark Ilton. There was, indeed, much rejoicing (although often while muted). We look forward to the day in the not-too-distant future when we can all celebrate on campus together. Meanwhile, congratulations to the class of 2020. You’ve earned it!
