Joseph Checkelsky ’04 Named Assistant Professor of Physics at MIT

HMC Physics graduate, Joe Checkelsky, has accepted an assistant professorship in the physics department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, starting in January of 2014. After graduating from HMC in 2004, Joe did his PhD research at Princeton in the Ong laboratory, after which he has worked at Japan’s Institute for Physical and Chemical Research (RIKEN) and has held the position of lecturer at the University of Tokyo.
