Share story

Dear HMC Community,

Short Version

  • The Task Force will release its first interim report the week of Sept. 16.
  • To discuss the report and provide your feedback, please attend one of the scheduled meetings.
  • Office hours will be added soon.

Long Version

The Task Force aims to bring the HMC community together to discuss and shape the future of the Clinic program and corporate partnerships. Composed of diverse College stakeholders, the Task Force is committed to understanding these programs comprehensively in order to suggest possible improvements and address concerns. The Task Force is pleased to welcome Michael Mumo (’28) and Steven Zhang (’28) as student representatives from the first-year class.

The first interim report, to be released the week of Sept. 16, will share the data collected so far, including historical records, peer comparisons and survey results. The report marks the start of developing strategic recommendations, which will evolve through community input and collaboration. We invite the HMC community to suggest additional ideas and to provide feedback on the initial interpretations of this data during the Fall Community Events listed below. The final report, due in January, will offer a comprehensive vision for enhancing clinic and corporate partnerships, informed by ongoing community discussion. Implementing this vision will involve cooperation across the College’s staff, faculty, administration, alumni and trustees.

To discuss the report and provide your feedback to the Task Force, please attend one of the scheduled meetings listed on the Events page. At these sessions, there will be a brief presentation of the major findings in the interim report and an opportunity for moderated, small group discussion to provide feedback to the Task Force. In addition to the scheduled meetings, the Task Force will soon be posting a list of available office hours to speak with Task Force members. Task Force representatives will also meet this month with the New Faculty Lunch Group, Faculty Executive Committee (FEC), Department Chairs Committee (DCC), President’s Cabinet, Board of Trustees (BoT) and Alumni Association Board of Governors (AABOG).

More information about the Task Force can be found on this website, and messages for the Task Force can be sent to taskforce_ccp-l@g.hmc.edu.

Warm regards from The Task Force on Clinic and Corporate Partnerships
