Strategic Planning Steering Committee

The Steering Committee was responsible for leading and overseeing the comprehensive planning efforts, ensuring the effective integration of inputs from the Working Groups—Imagining Harvey Mudd, Academic Vision and Student Experience—into the College’s final strategic plan.

Members of the Steering Committee met with the chair of each Working Group to offer guidance on objectives, work plans and timing, and to help resolve questions or problems that arose. Moreover, one member of the Steering Committee also served on each of the Working Groups.

One of the primary aims of the Steering Committee was to distill the range of ideas that emerged through the strategic planning process into a concise set of strategic priorities. These efforts provided the groundwork for defining the College’s future trajectory and helping guide its next comprehensive fundraising campaign.

The Steering Committee drafted strategic goals and initiatives based on the Working Group reports.
